Overview
Each scheme in our Honorary Awards Community has strict nomination criteria and processes which are opened annually. You will find information on the criteria for each scheme on this page and when nomination windows are opened the nomination form and associated deadlines will also appear here. This summary provides an overview of the different criteria for each award.
Awards criteria
Honorary Degrees
Honorary Degrees are awarded by a sub-committee of the University of the Built Environment Academic Board. Those eligible to make nominations are informed by the University Secretary when the nomination window is opened.
Honorary and Associate Fellows
Honorary and Associate Fellowships are determined by the University of the Built Environment Nominations and Governance Committee annually and confirmed by the Board of Trustees.
The nominations window is opened each summer and we welcome completed forms, outlining how any nominee meets the criteria for the awards at that time. When the process is open nomination forms will appear on this page along with the deadline for submission.
Built Environment Award
The main Built Environment Award is determined by the Board of Trustees with the support of an industry-led Panel of Experts. The Student Academic Excellence Award is determined by the University of the Built Environment Academic Team and the Alumni Award is considered by the University’s Leadership Team following an open nominations process that typically runs each summer.
