Biography
Marc is a Chartered Architectural Technologist and has a BSc in Architectural Technology and an MSc in Advanced Architectural Design from The Robert Gordon University where his thesis focused on the algorithmic design of physical estates and infrastructure based on multi-objective optimisation. Prior to entering academia, Marc worked for a range of private architectural practices, including Local Authority, working on a diverse range of public and private projects ranging from new school buildings to domestic retrofits.
After gaining a PGDip in Education from the University of Aberdeen, Marc moved to Fife College where he spent 13 years, initially as a course Leader for Architectural Technology. In this role, Marc was responsible for writing the BSc Sustainable Architectural Design in partnership with the University of Abertay, Dundee before progressing to become Academic and Quality Manager for the Built Environment where he was responsible for overseeing a range of part and full time provision across the Built Environment, including vocational and technical apprenticeships. During his time at Fife College Marc was also an Associate Lecturer at Heriot Watt University on the BSc Quantity Surveying and Construction Project Management Programmes.
