Biography
Chris is an experienced architectural educator with over thirty years of involvement in architectural education across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. His academic practice is embodied in an integrated approach to Architectural Design and Architectural Technology informed by extensive professional practice experience and a sustained interest in the translation of architectural ideas into built form.
Chris positions creativity, materiality and construction technology as inseparable aspects of architectural design and these considerations are at the heart of his teaching methodology. Employing digital three dimensional modelling Chris’ explores building components, material systems and processes of assembly in developing a critical understanding of how technological resolution contributes positively to architectural ambition. Chris joined UBE as Programme Lead for Architectural Design Technology in July 2026.
